events: 17-8-2008 Heresy Snowboarding is an Australian snowboarding brand committed to sweatshop-free labour, sustainable snowboarding and manufacturing, direct representation and close collaboration.Heresy is also strongly committed to the environment, as exemplified by our anti-whaling clothing (with profits going to Sea Shepherd), and our new 3degrees initiative to raise money to help abate carbon and invest in biodiversity programs which will quantifiably and measurably help to reduce global warming.
As part of their environmental focus, Heresy has started their 3degrees initiative - an initiative to harness the close connection between each and every snowboarder and skiier on the planet. Heresy will be launching their 3degrees initiative on September 13th at Silverski Falls Creek, from 9.30PM. The fundraiser will include door prizes (gold coin donation on entry), a snowboard raffle ($5 entry) and a green theme with prizes to the best costume, music from Falls Creek's own DJ Thomas the Terror, a 4-6PM apres jib at Silverski and cheap drinks.
Heresy is aiming to raise $1000 to kick start their fund and sink 33.33 tonnes of carbon.
