Issued at 1531 on Thursday the 24th of July 2008 Warnings: Nil. Weather Pattern: A slow moving high pressure system southeast of Tasmania extends a ridge to eastern Victoria. A weakening cold front south of the Bight will reach southwestern Victoria on Friday night then cross the State to reach eastern Victoria on Saturday. An upper level trough will cross Victoria on Sunday while a ridge of high pressure over the Bight drifts to western Victoria on Monday. Forecast: Tonight and Friday: Fine. A mostly sunny day with generally light winds tending northwesterly. Outlooks: Saturday: Showers developing, tending to rain in the west and falling as snow later. Freshening northwesterly winds. Sunday: Isolated snow showers. Monday: Isolated snow showers, more widespread in the far east. |
