Thredbo is a fully self-contained ski village beneath Mt Kosciuszko, Australia's tallest mountain. offering a multitude of year round activities to the outdoors enthusiast. It has the largest snowmaking system in the southern hemisphere, as well as the country's longest run (5.9kms) and some of the steepest trails.
A range of lodges, hotels, self-contained apartments and club lodges. Currently the village has the capacity to house 4,000 people.

The village of Thredbo offers a variety of facilities: supermarket, fun & games kids center, chairlift open year round, antique, gift, clothing, and ski stores, walking trails, post office, child care/pre-school, doctor, 12 bars, three-star hotel, masseuse, bobsled, bakery, golf, tennis, over 20 restaurants, AIS/Thredbo Alpine Training Centre, with 50m pool, squash court, gym, sports hall, waterslide, traverse climbing wall, and more.
Snowboards are allowed on the mountain, and lessons and equipment rental are available. The Terrain Park features a boardercross course, bumps, banks, rails, and jumps.
