Area Profile

Mt. Baw Baw's integrated network of six lifts, services over 30 hectares of skiing terrain and provides some spectacular scenery. The inviting environment is enhanced by the large number of club lodges spread through the gum trees, resulting in a friendly family feel to the whole resort. It is the closest ski resort to Melbourne.

Lodging Profile

A variety of accommodation styles to cater for overnight or long stays include self-contained flats and ski club lodges. Mt Baw Baw Village Hotel offers hotel style accommodation. Kellys Lodge has comfortable rooms with suites, as well as self-contained apartments. Cascade Ski Apartments provide a number of fully equipped units of varying sizes.

Area Recreation Profile

Aside from skiing and snowboarding, you can rent a toboggan, try the tubing park, go for a walk or cross country ski.

Snowboarding Profile

A variety of runs for all ability levels. The jeep track provides a natural halfpipe. There are boundless areas to explore between the trees, as well as natural obstacles and specially prepared jumps.

Cross Country Profile

10km of sheltered, well marked, groomed trails to suit every level of cross country skiier. Beech or Latrobe Trail's situated close to the village provide the novice with an ideal introduction to the art of cross country skiing. For the more advanced skier the Village Loop trail is interesting and provides more challenging skiing. For the experienced skier there is access to the beautiful Baw Baw Plateau, and you can ski to Mt St. Gwinear, Mt St. Phillack, Mustering Flat and the Alpine Walking Track.
