A historic and rather grand spa resort located in one of Austria's largest ski areas. It has more sophisticated après ski than many resorts and the world renowned skiing includes many delightful wooded trails. Not your typical 'boarder's resort off-the-slopes, Bad Gastein does, however, have plenty of terrain to attract 'boarders, particularly those from intermediate level up, with good natural terrain features. It is also a host venue of the Snowboard World Cup.
Slopeside lodging is available with over 7,300 beds in Bad Gastein alone.. An array of hotels, inns, and apartment style housing all located in town.
