Pertisau is located in the beautiful Achensee area of the Tyrol. The resort's history of hospitality goes back long before the advent of winter sports. Emperor Maximilian I once had a holiday home here. A modern cable car (tram) access the ski area and runs of up to five kilometres (three miles) in length.
