Popular and picturesque resort and bustling market town with lots to do for non-skiers and skiers alike. Located between the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser Mountains with a web of well prepared trails separated by acres of powder snow. St Johann's varied terrain, lively nightlife and terrain park all combine to make it one of the major 'boarding spots in the area. The natural terrain features off the forested trails and powder fields have a lot of mileage in them, and access to the top of the slopes by gondola or chair is easy. The pass coverage of more than two dozen other ski areas nearby perhaps also contributes to the success of St Johann as a home of some of the world's best known 'boarders in recent seasons. All four ski schools offer snowboarding tuition and the terrain park incorporates a 60 metre half pipe.
