A winter playground just 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Marmot offers 84 trails, 1,675 acres of skiable Rocky Mountain terrain, and some runs stretching up to 3.5 miles. The recent added terrain of the upper bowls improved the skiing experience immensely. Marmot has all the services skiers need: rental equipment, ski lessons, restaurant facilities, townsite bus service and a unique parking lot that allows you to ski to and from your vehicle.
Bus transportation to town with 1,823 beds in 15 lodges, 19 kilometers from the area. Winter camping is available.
The resort has a new $500,000 rental and repair shop. Ski shop, lessons including the Outer Limits Mountain Experience program. Three mountain day lodges, gift shop. Plenty of restaurants, bars, lounges, and discos in town. Nursery for children ages 19 months to 7 years. First aid at area, hospital in town. 5% snowmaking.
Telemarking, snowshoeing, and snowboarding. Ice fishing, ice skating, handball, ice climbing, sleigh riding, cross country, swimming, tobogganing, and tubing all nearby.
Snowboarding is allowed including one terrain park and a quarter pipe.
