Cypress is composed of two mountains on Vancouver's north shore -- Mt. Strachan and Black Mountain. It can be reached by public transportation. The varied terrain works for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Night operation is scheduled to start December 14 and run through March 26 (weather permitting). Cypress Mountain will host Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding events for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Hotels and motels located in North and West Vancouver.
Cafeteria and lounge, first aid, ski patrol, lessons, rentals, and retail shop. Cypress Mountain also rents complete all-weather clothing by the day.
Cross country and touring, snowtubing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and night skiing.
Snowboarding is allowed. Terrain park and a halfpipe.
Nineteen kilometers of cross country and touring trails; 7 kilometers are lit for night skiing.
