Only one of three mountains in the Eastern Townships, Mont Orford is known for its long trails and tight tree skiing. More than $20 million has been invested by the resort in the past few years. Improvments for 2005/06 include a new tubing area with six trails and two dedicated lifts, and a "modernizing" of the school slope--which has been made three times longer and will have a training area with modules, an area dedicated just to beginners, and a junior snow park. Also, watch for freestyle athletes who will be training at the resort on weekends in preparation for the 2010 Olympic Games.
