Mont-Sainte-Anne has the highest vertical for night skiing in Canada and unlimited access to all trails for snowboarders. Traditionally, Mont-Sainte-Anne's ski season is one of the longest in Eastern North America (November to May).
Their West Side is a dedicated backcountry skiing zone that features trees, glades, little grooming, bumps, and lots of powder. The North and South sides have a good mix of moguls, steep skiing, and intermediate and novice terrain. All of it is served by high tech lifts. Overall there are more than 2,000 feet of vertical, 64 runs and 13 lifts. Additions for 2005/06 include a new snowmaking system--a $1,2 million investment with a fleet of 225 new snow guns--and a new glade zone for kids.1,600 beds at the foot of the mountain with an additional 1,200 beds nearby. Shuttle service and ski bus available to Quebec and nearby hotels. 9,000 more rooms lie within 40 kilometers. Limited winter camping facilities are available at the mountain base.
Two cafeterias, bar, and many lounges/discos on base and in the city. Ski shop and shopping plaza on-site with full shopping in Quebec City with rental, repair, and instruction on-site. Nursery available for children 6 months and older, 2 first aid areas, and hospital 5 miles away.
Curling, indoor tennis, movies, snowcat riding, swimming, and snowmobiling nearby. Cross country, dog sledding, ice skating, sleigh riding, snowboarding, tobogganing, snowshoeing, recreational competitions, and night skiing on 15 trails.
Snowboarding is allowed on all 64 trails. In 05/06 the resort will offer three terrain parks, a halfpipe and a slopestyle course.
224km of double track trails including 135km of skating trails, a wilderness lodge, and 7 heated relay stations. Snowshoeing is available. School with lessons and clinics. Rentals and repairs available.
