Kerlingarfjöll is a group of mountains in central Iceland, reached by a beautiful drive ( three hours) from Reykjavik (or 50 minute flight). The bottom 250m are served by portable lifts, the next 250 by a Kassborer vehicle, and the top can be reached by foot, giving a maximum vertical of around 600 metres. Snow conditions are normally good with corn snow. Most customers are learning to ski or improving their technique, friendly staff, mostly students, guest stay in 6 - 10 bed A frame huts or in the loft of the main lodge.
