Area Profile
Sunrise Park, owned by the White Mountain Apache Tribe, is located in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona, a four-hour drive for Phoenix and Tucson residents.
The area boasts 65 runs served by an efficient lift system including a high-speed detachable quad. Sunrise has a terrain park and new half pipe, wood and metal rails, and an area dedicated to aerialists ranging from beginner to advanced. There are two exclusive beginner sections within the ski area, and easy to ski lower slopes. In general, this is an area suited for beginners and intermediates, with limited advanced terrain. The steepest terrain is on Cyclone Circle.Lodging Profile
Sunrise Park Lodge, just three miles away (bus service to area), has 100 rooms, an indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, and lounge. Available overnight parking for RVs with electric hook-up. Lots of other accommodations - including hotels, motels and condominiums - available in the general area, including the Hon-Dah Resort Casino in nearby Pinetop.

Several restaurants and lounges on mountain. Hotel has a full-serve restaurant, snack bar, and lounge. Ski shop, rentals, ski school, Funland for 3 to 6-year-olds and child care for newborns to 3-year-olds, general store.
Area Recreation Profile
Cross country skiing and snowshoeing on 13 miles of groomed trails, with rentals and permits at the nearby Sunrise General Store, sleight rides, ice fishing, snowmobile tours, tubing, and sleigh rides.
Snowboarding Profile
Snowboard park with a halfpipe and lots of features. All trails are open to boarders.
Cross Country Profile
Cross country rentals and trail permits are available only at the Sunrise General Store. The staff will kit you out with the equipment you need, offer details of the trails, and get you off and skiing in no time. Group and private lessons available.
