Few ski resorts match Heavenly's scenic beauty and expansive network of lifts, terrain, trails, and snowmaking. Located on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly is the region's largest mountain resort, featuring the highest elevation and longest vertical drop.
The views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra mountain range are magnificent. The snowfall tops 20 feet virtually every year and you can slide over 4,800 skiable acres. This resort spans two states (California and Nevada). There have been millions of dollars invested in mountain improvements over the several years. Camper facilities not available at ski area, although there are many private and public campgrounds nearby.

Cross country, dog sledding, ice fishing, mountaineering, sledding, ice skating, indoor tennis, sleigh riding, snowmobiling, swimming, tobogganing, tubing, horseback riding, and racketball all available nearby.
Snowboarders are welcome. Heavenly features a boardercross trail, four terrain parks for all abilities, and a halfpipe, as well as several terrain features built around the mountain regularly. They recently installed a lighted terrain park for night riding at the California base.
