Area Profile

Nestled on the edge of the Grand Mesa, just 35 miles from Grand Junction, Powderhorn has exceptional views with a friendly personal atmosphere. In its unique location, where the desert meets the mountain, you'll find red cliffs, canyon country and vineyards less than an hour away from the snowy slopes. This family resort is best known for its hassle free days and modern base area facilities. You won't spend your day waiting in long lift lines. Powderhorn is proud of its groomed "corduroy" but there are plenty of challenging bumps and trees to play in too. Powder stashes can be found all day on Powderhorn's uncrowded slopes.

Lodging Profile

The Inn at Wildewood, Powderhorn's only ski-in/out lodging property, offers accommodations for up to 50 guests. The Inn features renovated deluxe and mini-suites. A luxury condo is also available that sleeps up to 10 people. All rooms have a private bath, TV, microwave, mini-refrigerator and coffee maker. You can relax on the spacious deck or in the Family Room and unwind in the hot tub and sauna.

Services Profile

Cafeteria-style restaurant along with a full--service facility are available for lunch and dinner. Many more restaurants and shops are located just 35 miles away. Ski and snowboard lessons and rentals are available.

Area Recreation Profile

Snowmobile atop the Grand Mesa for incredible valley vista and mountain views. Cross country ski or snowshoe on groomed or backcountry trails through groves of aspen and pine. Tour Colorado's Wine Country, only 30 minutes away via limousine or by yourself. In the springtime, enjoy golf courses surrounded by cliffs and canyons or mountain bike the world-renowned Kokopelli Trail.

Snowboarding Profile

All trails are open to snowboarders. An intermediate terrain park is located under the main lift and a beginner park is available on the beginner hill for the 2004-2005 season. Both of the terrain parks can be seen from the day lodge.

Cross Country Profile

Rentals and groomed trails available six miles south of Powderhorn on top of the Grand Mesa.
