Catamount Ski & Ride Area is located on the border of Massachusetts and New York and only about a 15 mile ride from the Northwest Connecticut border. New this season is the Megaplex trail which is dedicated to snowboarding. It will feature a 400 foot half pipe and includes a terrain park featuring a variety of hits, including Rails, Table Tops and a big Air Jump. Megaplex will be serviced by its own surface lift. You will also find 7 lifts that include 4 double chairs, 1 J-bar and 2 suface lifts. Increased snowmaking ability this season.
Over 430 rooms available in a 10-mile raius and over 760 rooms within a 20-mile radius.
A combination of trains and bus services to Great Barrington, MA (located 8 miles From Catamount) to New York City. There are several movie theatres within 15 miles and excellent restaurant around. Rentals, ski and snowboard school including children's programs.
Race camps, race programs, snowboarding.
Snowboarding is allowed including two terrain parks and a Snowboard Megaplex with Half Pipe, 1/4 Pipe, San Diego Stars, Spines and Table Tops. The rental shop carries boards and boots.
