Area Profile
Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls has been owned and operated by the same family since 1972. Normally one of the first to open and last to close in the Midwest, the folks at Wild have long been known for cranking the snowguns up before Halloween when the weather permits. The earliest they ever opened was Oct. 19, 1991. They normally never close before April, and you can generally count on them to be 100 percent covered by Thanksgiving most years. Described as "wild and bumptious," Wild Mountain rocks until 3 a.m. on Friday nights during the ski season from late November through February. It also boasts some of the biggest bumps in the region and "Minnesota's only Super Pipe," according to Amy Frischman, who's dad Dennis Raedeke started the business in 1972. This season Wild Mountain has added Wild Chutes Snow Tubing. The snow tubing park will be adjacent to Wild's ski & snowboard area and will have its own base lodge and entrance.

Area Recreation Profile
Racing available on-site. Cross country trails are nearby at River State Park. Also nearby are movie theaters, antique shops, coffee shops, and an outlet mall.
Snowboarding Profile
A Superpipe and terrain park with spines, quarter-pipes, and tabletops located on Midway. It has its own lift. There are various table tops, jumps, spines, and quarter-pipes located throughout the area. Snowboarding allowed on all runs.
Cross Country Profile
Cross country trails are available at the nearby River State Park.
