The best way to describe life at the Balsams Wilderness is to say that, once you register, everything you want to do here is included in your tab. This is a full American plan resort. Meals and skiing are all free for registered guests. And, the meals are incredible. The vertical is a respectable 1,000 feet and the skiing and riding are fine. The reason to come here, however, is for the entire experience. And, yes, this is the Dixville Notch, where the first Presidential votes are tallied.
