Swain Ski & Snowboard Center has the unique distinction of being the oldest continuously operating ski area in New York State. Check it out for yourself. Ski its 21 trails with 95 percent snowmaking and a vertical drop of 650 feet.
Several rooms available within walking distance--condos, cabins, and inns; 250 beds within 13 miles, and 160 additional beds within 25 miles.
Cafeteria, restaurant, and bar at the area. Clubhouse, lessons, rentals, ski shop, nursery, and first aid available with the nearest hospital 14 miles away. Ninety-five percent snowmaking.
Snowboarding, racing, adaptive skiing, ski camps, 750-foot snowtubing park, and snowboard park. Additional recreation in the region includes snowmobiling, ice skating, sledding, shopping, ice fishing, wineries, movie theater, and antique shops.
Snowboarding is allowed with one terrain park and a halfpipe.
