Skiers began visiting the Anthony Lakes region in the early 1930s. Called the most loveable ski area in America by Life Magazine back in 1969, Anthony Lakes offers glacially sculpted peaks and champagne powder. They don't offer high speed lifts or high priced lift tickets. What you get is some of the best powder skiing in the Northwest. The mountain maintains an ambitious event and race schedule.
The closest lodging is 19 miles from the resort in North Powder. Most stay in Baker City, La Grande, or North Powder which are all within a 45-minute drive.
