Skibowl says it's the largest night skiing area in the country. You can night ski at Skibowl 7 days per week every night till 10 p.m. (Saturdays until 11 p.m.). Plus, it's added several new ways to enjoy the snow, day or night. Tubing has moved to a new hill for a longer and faster ride, and they've added a new Toddler Tube Hill. But wait, there's more. Skibowl cautions that the Express Tube and Tow added a new Extreme Hill, which is only for the brave at heart.
Skibowl is actually in the town of Government Camp, so there are several lodgings within walking distance. They include an excellent B&B, new chalets, lodges and inns.
Five food service operations/facilities including fine dining, cafeteria. Mid-mountain warming hut, ski school, rental and demo shop, childcare and Hurricane Service Center.
K-2 Snowbikes are now available for rent, (including Snowblades) for zooming down the hill. Mini Z Snowmobiles, for children over 5 and under 120 pounds, can be rented and run only on a supervised track. Skibowl now has what it calls the High Adrenaline Zipline. It's 500 feet long and 40 feet above the ground. You descend from Multorpor Lodge, zooming all the way down to the bottom of Skibowl east parking lot (weight limit 60 to 240 lbs).
All 65 trails are open to snowboarders along with a terrain park and halfpipe. Full snowboard and boot rental plus lessons are available.
