49 Degrees North is a favorite for locals in northeast Washington State. You will find 2,325 skiable acres on Chewelah Peak, with 54 runs serviced by 5 lifts. The addition of 12 cut runs and the gladed areas of East Basin for has doubled the ski terrain, but for now you will have to backcountry in to enjoy it. The trails are cut, but the access lift won't be built until the summer of 2006. The vertical is around 1,850 feet. The Chair 2 terrain park is one of the longest in the Northwest.
No on-site lodging is available. Lodging is available in nearby Chewelah, Coeur d'Alene, and Spokane.
Ski school, 49er Club, rental shop, ski partrol, first aid, daycare, lockers, retail shop, cafeteria, Boomtown Bar, and the Klondike room are all located at the lodge. Night skiing available.
Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country and telemark; lessons provided for all types and levels of skiing and snowboarding.
Snowboarding is allowed everywhere. Lessons and rentals available.
Cross country trails are available. Lessons and rentals available daily at the lodge.
