Area Profile

The geography and elevation of Stevens Pass in the North Central Cascades (78 miles from Seattle) combined with dry wind from the east, makes the snow conditions unbeatable. Riders get 1,800 vertical feet on three sides of two different mountains. Stevens averages 450" of snowfall annually on 1,125 acres of skiable terrain. The terrain ranges from expert only, to smooth, wide open cruising runs for all levels of snow sports enthusiasts. Five nights per week after dark (Thursday through Monday until March 6), the trails near six lifts are lit for night skiing and riding. Stevens has two terrain parks: Top Phlight Terrain Park, for serious rippers, and Dog Dunes for tamer ones. Night skiing begins December 10.

Lodging and ski packages available in nearby towns of Leavenworth, Wenatchee, or Lake Chelan. Some lodging properties have "kids stay free" packages. Self-contained RV parking, electrical hook-ups available.

Services Profile

The Tye Creek Deli, two lounges, fast food restaurant and full service restaurant; outdoor grill and pizzeria. Two ski shops on the mountain: skiing services including rentals, tune-ups, repairs, and demos provide the best possible options for fun on the slope. Cross country rental and repair shop available at area. Private, semi-private, and group lessons are available at area.

Area Recreation Profile

Wenatchee and Leavenworth have cross country skiing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, and excellent shopping. In and near Chelan, on Lake Chelan, there are plenty of lodgings and restaurants.

Snowboarding Profile

Stevens has a Super Pipe with 17-foot walls and two regular halfpipes, one with 10-foot walls and the other with six-foot walls for the kids. There are also two terrain parks: Top Phlight Terrain Park , where the serious rippers, huckers and spinners meet; and Dog Dunes, for green boarders.

Cross Country Profile

25k of cross country trails are available. Three km of snowshoeing trails are avaiable. The Nordic center is five miles east of the summit.
