Downhill skiers of all levels will enjoy the 37 slopes at Canaan Valley Resort. With a vertical drop of 850 feet and the longest run at 6,000 feet, the experience can be as challenging as guests want it to be. Night skiing is available during prime season Saturdays and Sundays, plus special holiday nights on 11 slopes.
Two hundred-fifty comfortably appointed lodge rooms, 23 rustic cabins, eight cottages and 34 campsites with electric hookups. Fine dining is offered in the Lodge, as well as Lounge and snack bar. There is lodging for more than 2,500 ranging from quiet inns to condominiums and deluxe mountain homes, within 10 miles of Canaan Valley Resort.
Free shuttle service between the lodge and ski area. Bear Paw Lodge, a two-story base lodge, offers 21,000 square feet of amenities, including a dining room that serves more than 500 at one time. Enjoy your favorite beverage or relax with friends in Quenchers Pub. Ski and snowboard lessons and rentals are available as well as child care for 2 to 6-year-olds.
Ice skating rink, indoor pool, health club, and game room are all offered at the Lodge. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, and night skiing also are available.
Snowboarding is allowed on all slopes. Lessons and rentals are available.
