Timberline is an old West Virginia favorite. There are 91 skiable acres, serviced by three lifts. You will find 37 runs and vertical of around 1,000 feet. All trails are open for snowboarding. There are also 12 kilometers of back country cross country terrain.
Approximately 6,000 beds within a 9-mile radius, most of which are houses, condominiums, and cabins. Less than 33 percent are bed and breakfasts, motels, or hotel rooms. 3-night minimum stay on most houses, condos, and cabins. Slopeside lodging available.
Private airport nearby. Restaurants, cafes, pubs, rental shop, ski shops, convenience stores, and a grocery store. Ski and snowboard school, racing programs, and NASTAR.
Ice skating, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country, sledding, shopping, and nightly entertainment at several locations.
All trails are open to snowboarders along with a terrain park and halfpipe. Full snowboard and boot rental facility, along with lessons three times a day are available. Clinics are offered several times a week.
Twelve kilometers of backcountry terrain at Timberline Resort join other trails in the national forest and neighboring Cross County Resort.
