Tyrol Basin, located near Mt. Horeb, has long been known around the heartland for its snowboarding. The area annually hosts a summer jam in June that will draw up to 500 to 600 riders from all over the Midwest. Tyrol recently added four lighted trails and a triple chairlift, and also doubled snowmaking capacity.

Snowboarding is allowed on all trails, plus offering one of the best terrain parks mid-America. The terrain park has added a variety of new features, including a new "C" box and a new mailbox in addition to the variety of features currently offered. The terrain park staff keep features moving to keep users challenged. It changes all year long.
