Social logins use an authentication standard called OAuth to securely pass basic profile details such as name, age and email address upon registering. Once registered, a unique secure token is passed each time you login to confirm it is you.
Why is it so safe to use a social login?
The OAuth method never ever reveals or passes your Google or Facebook password to our servers, only a secure token is passed. So in the unlikely event that our forum has a security breach, nothing compromising about you is available to the hackers from within our database. Your social account remains totally safe.
