I havent been but from this forum and others we had decided on Naeba for 6 nights with kids. The ski area with Kagura sounds quite large and the ease of skiiing straight out the door is very appealing. Also for that late in the season Kagura is quite high so more snow than others. They have...

There are still rooms for families in January, we had no issues. Are you on the hotel website directly? For 2 adults 2 kids you need to put it in as 4 adults, there is no difference in price. Also, click on the Join Seibu club and you get a cheaper rate.

Except when you got older kids still at school and gotta go over there in mid January!! Full flights are better than crowded slopes though, as they all seem to want to go to the higher profile resorts. Interested to see what will happen with Gaijin at Shiga, as that seems to be getting...

Advice needed Newbie questions about Japan holiday

Totally agree with Crispy, dont take cash out with 28 degrees, just credit card purchases. Use ING/Citibank for cash withdrawals from ATM's. Have been using this combo for the last two seasons in Japan and works a treat. I dont think its worth buying any Yen cash here in Australia before going...
