Question Working Holiday Visa 2nd Season

You'll be fine to extend it at that time. I believe you have to do it in the office you got the re-entry visa from. I am guessing you did that in Nagano. Plenty of our staff have done this before and there has never been an issue.

The big Hakuba thread 2017/2018 - trip planning, trip reports, general musings about fried chicken

Thanks AB The page is for people that are in Hakuba and I tell them where IMHO is the best place in the valley to slide each morning. I get it right 95% of the time as far as I'm concerned. If I didn't then I would cop a blasting everyday from the people who go to where I recommended. Locals are...

    Resource Japan 2018 thread

Ramenman - just to let you know. All these resorts can open up as many tree areas as they want. It is more about avi control of the areas that shouldn't be skied as that is where the foreigners will drop. Just to make it clear. Open a tree area and it gets skied out (=no more powder) The...

The big Hakuba thread 2017/2018 - trip planning, trip reports, general musings about fried chicken

The streets are a mess with leaves. That's about it. Constant rain but the rivers didn't expand too much and a bit of wind. We got out it pretty lightly.

The big Hakuba thread 2017/2018 - trip planning, trip reports, general musings about fried chicken

Usually try and get up around 4. I love the mornings here. The calm before the everyday storm. Get my emails and admin done early so I can get first lifts :) Back in the hotel by about 10:30 sipping on a latte with a big smile on my face. I like that routine. Won't happen everyday but that's the...

Advice needed Yuzawa ski option late March/early April

Goryu/47, Happo and Tsugaike stay open until the first week of May so plenty of options in the Hakuba Valley. Will still be top to bottom skiing for your dates. Iwatake and Cortina/Norikura shut at the end of March so try those out for the first couple of days.
