Did anyone go up today?
Considering going up for a day trip tomorrow for a bit of a play, however its over 4 degrees there now, and assuming it gets cold again tonight, im thinking mabe it will be not so much fun.
Have stayed at Astra and Trackers - both are very nice and as sueski said - the food is excellent. Freuf village is also a really nice place to stay. The country club also rocks and is in a pretty good position (no over snow!) - but its a little bit of a hike to get to the man.
Yes youre absolutely right. And also at this late stage for the christmas period, theres not much available.
We ended up going with Les Arcs in the smaller vilage that I noted. The booking agent assured us that there would be plenty of snow - so ill just keep my fingers crossed and hope that...
Thanks very much for the quick replies guys! We will be booking tonight I believe so its much appreciated.
I think that we will try again to find a chalet to fit us all in (there will be 12) at Courchevel, and failing that take the Les Arcs option.
Ive never skied in France before and am having some trouble deciding between Les Arcs, Tignes and Chamonix and am wondering if anyone with experience in France can help me out.
I will be going over christmas and early Jan, so higher up would guarantee snow.
I am not so fantastic that...
I have one also but I usually still use the normal laptop bag along with a backpack. One wouldnt say that I travel ligtly, and I usually take quite a bit on the plane with me. Youre allowed to take a laptop bag and a backpack with you, so i always go that way.
Just got this from Hotham:
"Sleet has turned to.... snow!
In the last hour the intermittent sleet that has been falling at Hotham for the last few hours has now turned to snow. This is expected to continue throughout the day - and for the next few days for that matter"
Went to bumps - seems to be a good job but it was pretty darn pricey...
Have heard fantastic things about andy @ Ballistyx, and will take my boards there next time. Met him recently while buying boots and he seems like a nice guy.
