Wow, look at the 47.1C at Olympic park. There are now 4 stations in the basin that have got to at least 47C.

The record for Penrith is 47.3C. The Richmond record is 47.8C.

Today was a very hot day in Tasmania. Hobart got to 40.8C. The hottest place in the state appears to have been Friendly Beaches with 41.9C.
Apparently Katoomba recorded 39.5C last Saturday.

Looks like a new record for Nowra with 45.5C at 1:18pm. The temperature shot up 7C in an hour as the wind direction changed from NE to W.
Penrith is now forecast to get to 47C on Saturday.
Despite the smoke Penrith and Richmond have managed to reach 40C.
