What do I call this? Over the top of Quartz Ridge looking out over the right hand end of the lake (if looking down the chair line)

    Drovers

Don't know what to call this one either. Over the lake, basically straight down Drovers:

Hope to get them up later on the main page along with some more.

Isn't Falls / Hotham putting the rest of the resorts to shame...

They actually have less physical cameras than some other resorts, its just that they were smart and employed the right people for the job [IMG]

    Do the calculations yourself Bogong.

Price difference would be insignificant and the results are what they are. [IMG]

Hotham will have a total of 4 pzt cams and Falls 5 when we are done. Each resort also has a couple of privately owned cams.

Resultant coverage of each resort speaks for itself. Coverage of Falls would have been better if we didn't inherit two of the installations but rather done them ourselves. They would have resulted in a wider range of shots.

Are all these shots from a cam on the top of Drovers? And is the Mt Mckay one a zoom in of the ski school area?

I can't believe how many shots there are now! There's more shots at Falls and Hotham than all the other resorts combined!

I just re-read the thread name so I'm figuring they are all from drovers...whoops...

One camera on Drovers. 10 shots.

They are pzt cams. Pan, Zoom, Tilt. So you can get a wide range of photos and a very good zoom which gives you the ability to frame the shots exactly as you want them.

Pity McKay has disappeared, it looked good around midday.

Falls probably has about another 4 shots to go, Hotham will get probably another 10 yet.

This update to the cams is fantastic and provides us all an absolutely superb picture of the conditions on the mountains

Ian, great work. Just a point FYI when you click on the 'cloud 9' cam from the front page it doesn't take you to the camera it takes you back to the camera page [IMG] I think the link is slightly broken.

    Thanks for the great cams

Ahh! I didn't see the ski.com.au logo on the pic so I thought they were installed by Falls...

Great work! Smart use of the zoom pan tilt!

Maybe the Cloud 9 cam should be turned around to point back down the hill - it seems to ice up pretty much all the time now.
