Perisher and Thredbo on 6 & 3ºC respectively.
Long way to go yet but in she comes.
Moisture on its way.
Patchy mizzle blowing through at Hotham
Buller in the clouds:
Running a imaginary lines down both insides of the c/front . Gives a good indication of its actual width in kilometers.
Some more down the Delatite Valley:
Didn't make the trip up the hill.
Thredbo reaching 106km/h gusts this arvo.
Currently 3.4ºC with moisture in bound in the next hour IMO.
Interesting..... it’s warm... Perisher temps a bit higher. Not getting anything like that wind wise with BOM showing nothing over 40km/h. Calm at Moonbah and nearly 9 degrees. Interested in the next 36 hours or so....
Seymour and Puckapunyal under siege at the moment
At a guess you'd be feeling it if it were Southerly. This ones all out of the North.
Yep. I could have been a little clearer though. Those BOM readings wind wise are for Perisher where it’s about 6 degrees. Not looking good for the snowpack if that BOM forecast moisture hits while it’s so mild....
Argh yep. Sadly, runnels on snowmaking for sure.
+5mm/hr easily after midnight.
Rains started in Melbourne.
winds picked up for a couple of hours this evening but settled down now.
Active cell converging N/NW of the KNP. Falling into line IMO.
Its started. PV showing just under 5mm in the past hour....
Raining steadily at the high perch ,5.6mm in the can ,wind 16kmph WSW and unfortunately a summery 4.2c. Not looking real good for further up the hill and this is progged to continue for the next 12 -24 hours.
Never know what to do here ,do I give a like to you for the report even though I dont like what the report actually says.
Yes hard to like this really. We need more snow.
Just flicked over to snow at Hotham village about 330am. Sticking to the windows and a little has settled on ground
29.8 mm here (@ Maragle) and currently straddling 6° C.
Also, for you skier fellas, I note that Perisher Valley and Thredbo Top Station are now standing on 2.6° C and 1.1° C respectively.
Looks like good straw, I fear it's not :-(
Looks on spec for now.
~40mm apiece for Thredbo and Perisher since 11:30pm.
Thredbo almost to meg temps.
Not much moisture left on the radar unfortunately.
This is from 7am. Got distracted.
This is now
Both photos have mizzle in them.
PV has had 41mm overnight. Can't see "damage" as cameras are down or clouded out
Check the Thredbo cams, and you’ll get an idea...net loss.
Smiggins cam - https://www.ski.com.au/snowcams/australia/nsw/perisherblue/perisher-smiggins-gunumalodge.html
Not surprising. Very mild in Queanbeyan this morning.
We don't like the "green, green grass of home" at this time of year.
Buller is definitely doing the best from this system
Always good when Buller beats the other mountains
Looks like 10-15cm.
Accumulating slowly in south perisher can!
Still mizzle in town.
The second wave!
Corin did ok given the amount of rain overnight
From Facebook per The Man from Snowy River at Perisher
Mt. Stirling has received the best snowfall of the VIC XC ski locations so far .
It’s such a good snowcam. Thanks @luvthabumps and @DbSki ! Best few hundred bucks I’ve ever spent.
Whatcha doin at Maragle ?
Too warm for Falls and too far north going by the weather station, 25mm in the positives.
What PV lost.
Not the end of the world
I note that Coronavirus has not stopped the weather in Enzed either, nor has social distancing prevented snow play en-masse. Great to see!
I observe creeks around PV flowing this morning. It was minus 1 when pic was taken and a little bit of sleet - on and off.
Mt P - lower resort levels pretty damp.
Pretty much a net loss. A bit of slush on the road up around Spencer’s.
Higher peaks likely gained a few cms of wet snow. The alpine a bit more but that’s just a guess based on what was visible this morning.

In short, for easier access to Tumut forestry i.e. greater income opportunities.
Mt.Stirling on the upper mountain got a few cms. of snow overnight but we are still not looking at a XC skiable hill from the Car park to the summit .
The website for Mt. Stirling still has 2019 information for ski lessons. I wonder if their Estonian ski instructors have been caught up by the plague and its disruptions to world travel?
The weather here in NE Melb. is mild and sunny. The cycling path along the Main Yarra trail was unpleasantly congested. I cannot see much more snow coming from this weather system.
Hold the phone . It is cold and wet now only 3 hours later.
