This band still smashing Vic, NSW still has a fair bit to see over the next hour of two IMO...

Count it twice. Whay not. 2m base so it doesnt matter.
I would definitely say Perisher are underreporting. Unless the 24hr totals are not inclusive of yesterday and are just overnight, and even then they may have gone a bit under. It was hammering it down most of the night.

Just sitting here at Charlotte's waiting to be on the first T Bar at 8.30

Our back window of the room has 60 cm but wind blown against it, so up early raced downstairs to look at the balcony table, only 10 cm but the wind is still blowing so I would say more than that is on the hill. Looking out the window looks good. I plan to be waiting at the T Bar so I am first, I will be a seething mass of discontent if some one beats me, although up here we will be skiing untracked all day

I just love this place

Late observation from yesterday that I just saw:

Jesus I just saw Perisher copped a lot of rain as per Snowatch update yesterday

126mm of rain in Mid August!! That will do some damage.

You'd want to hope that there is at least 70-80cm to repair that

Looking at the cams yesterday it didn't do much damage at all :)

Damage was minmal as it turned out (as per reports)
I'm thinking the bom gauge is faulty

Comments in both Perisher and Thredbo snow reports saying 15cm overnight and both are reporting 15cm for 24 hours so it seems totals reported in snow reports not inclusive of yesterday even though they state 24 hr snow.

The snow machine at PV BOM is working very well at the moment. It appears they finally fixed it a few weeks ago.

That's a solid 52mm+ at zero/below. Based on live reports from the carpark early yesterday morning it's fair to add in another 10mm or so at the tail end of the rain event, making it a very solid performance since yesterday morning.

I made it first on the T bar. To quote the ski patroller as we unloaded at the top the first time "your gonna hate it" lol

Got a couple of runs before there were more than three of us, I would have said an easy 20 cm but plenty of deeper stashes around especially pulpit Rock and down the back bowl

On my way back to the lodge the Poma cable looked so low that you might hook your neck (would still be 3 mtrs but) so in that area I can only guess how much landed there, but a bl**dy lot

Rain? what rain

Photos, maybe next time :)

Just in for another coffee and make everyone who is not here jealous then back out again
