I'm loving this Spring in Brisbane. 21 degrees here at the moment, and we haven't had one day in the 30's yet.

The long term average is around 27C for Bris in October. We have had 32C and 3 days above 29C and more above 27C. I don't classify that as very cool.

    I'm hoping this isn't a precursor for what's to come :(

25C here in Sydney, on its way to 30C and I'm off to the cricket this arvo (Matador Cup)

Meanwhile there looks to be some serious precip ahead of the front around Adelaide at the moment. Thredbo's forecast calls for 30-50mm of rain today then two days of snow, up to 50cm or so.

The number of trees down in the NE region is phenomenal and I guess more will come down tonight and tomorrow. More power cuts I suppose. I should go buy more candles. Starting to get quite windy in Wodonga but it's warm so the breeze is helpful - so far.

Rain has set in for the last 90 minutes or so in eastern Melbourne.
It's probably been going for a bit longer in the west.

Team Bears were up finalizing the second table for Mulhuaser and we went thro a couple of little storms but it was not too bad 5.30..6.30pm
but coming home we ran into amazing ..mega flash lightening ..about 7.30pm......then just after leaving Omeo Highway and passing over the Lockhart Gap we ran into storm from hell....horizontal rain and zero visibility for 15mins....nearly ran Bears off road...!!

good solid rain down Hume Hwy towards Melb and windy.....

Bears where nearly ganna cut thro Yack/Beechworth but thought better of it after we hit those storms..too scared of trees down in the heavily treed route...so we headed for certainty in grasslands of Wodonga...we were scanning those causeways just in case of local flooding..

not the usual level of predictions happening around here...

thinking going up to mountain creek tomorrow and tearing up bogong sunrise to sunset on wednesday.

BOM going for snow above 900m. that + up to 30mm! sounds too good to be true
