The next generation of X-gamers needs a ski that will blast them into doing all sorts of tricks in the park and pipe. The Residue will be able to do just that. At about 75mm underfoot this is a great versatile width for sliding rails but also for skiing the entire mountain. That's one of the best qualities of twin tips, they perform well on all sorts of terrain.

Ideal Target Skier: Developing Young Skier: Anywhere from first timers to advanced youth skiers, that still have a lot to learn about skiing. They might ski fast sometimes, and have a blast, but aren't comfortable with some areas of the mountain.

AirCoat Hollow Glass Technology: Enables 40% less weight, the same or better strength, and more agility than other core fibers. Aircoat fibers are hollow enabling the component weight to be 40% less. The hollow fibers have higher compression strength and higher specific strength than any solid fibers. This combination of lighter weight and increased strength means the ski is more agile and more responsive.

Synthetic Core: A lightweight flexible ski core designed to help skiers master turning and stay out of harms way by making the ski nimble. Juniors rarely need or want a wood core ski, though if they are racing or performing serious tricks in the park they may.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune.

Twin tip skis: are where its at these days. Their versatility allows you to ski powder in the morning, bumps at midday, and session the park in the afternoon. The turned up tail is also optimal for skiing backwards (switch), but for most people, it just looks cool.

Park N Pipe Rocker: Tip and tail rise with regular camber underfoot. PNP gives the ski a significant amount of pop and energy for boosting tricks. 30% rocker. 70% camber.

Agreed. Looks like a very nice ski. If they were in Melbourne I'd be quite tempted to add them to the family quiver for this season then pass them on when our smaller kid grows some more.
