Went out for a few runs at Buller. 10-15 fresh on the ground when I left home. Puked the whole two hours I was out. Pretty creamy powder but whole lot of fun.
Yes it’s definitely not light and dry, perfect base building stuff.
Charlottes Pass- snowing all morning
Website said 3 cm at 6 30 am- a conservative estimate. By 9am it had some descent depth. Sensational pow around the trees and gullies.
Looks like nice heavy wet base building stuff. Hopefully the lower sections of the Sth and Nth side are still getting that.1hr accumulation at Buller, 1-2cm? since 10:30.
Keep those pics coming... the continued lockdown Vic situations remedy for me is praying and hoping we are all good to be out of this next tues so can finally ski Buller Weds and Thurs. Observation its blooody cold in Melbs my feet at my desk are freezing (can feel it coming through the ground) so hope its dumppping up in the mtns

agree, some seriously heavy snow falling. I mesured ~15cm on our walkway, which is semi-protected by overhanging trees. So would be higher than that on the open slopes.Main front just hit Windy Hill Essendon, wind up, rain up, temps down. I observe Lockdown 6.0 is now officially pi**ing me right off
Yes, nobody who skis is enjoying the present Lockdown No. 5 but we have not got up to No. 6 yet.

Buller is going to continue to get smashed for the next few hours.Snow stake cam at perisher seems to have been clear of snow (and just plain wet) since around 9am when they cleared it despite sub-zero temps and precip. Anyone at perisher can confirm whether it's been snowing and not freezing rain, faulty cam or some other anomaly?
I was wondering the same. The Thredbo live cams have been indicating quite clearly snow at High Noon and Merritts which are both lower than the snow stake cam, even Friday Flat looks more snow than rain. Maybe the snows just a bit wet so is running off, can only guess really!

It is Snowing properly at TBJ at Mt. Stirling ski patrol office( 1270 M. ASL). Big Flakes are falling at Baw Baw village.( 1490 M. ASL )
More snow showers seem to be closing in on the Bogong Rover Chalet .( 1600 M. ASL)

The SW front is about half hour or so away judging by the radar, only going to get better.Can confirm, absolutely dumping down. 3hr accumulation is around 5 cm now

It is now Snowing at Cresta Valley . Look at the puddle / wash out this morning and the past two days and now it is filling in bit by bit . Mt. Buffalo when it has 50 cms plus it is mystical for Nordic skiing.
Radar has it pumping and all heading towards Baw Baw and Buller.
Its fairly slow moving too so we should squeeze maximum out as it moves over.

It looks like it is now snowing at Lake Mtn. 20.7.21 1400 , but we'll need a few hours to ascertain what the situation is.

Baw Baw should do nicely as the current blob slowly moves North East.The flakes are starting to fatten at Buller. It's about to get smashed.
