Saturday, fresh snow during the week, school holidays and a sunny day.
Don't need to be Nostradamus to predict it's going to be busy.
Lots of locals with more time off sneaking in a few extra days as well......

It's September. Beach time people!
Mind you, the only queues we saw all day were Happy and FV carpet. Snow had dried and softened overnight and was quite nice up high. Found some really nice off piste in some places. Sticky as glue down low.

Was at Falls Creek for the weekend.
Saturday started cloudy. Then cloudy on and off. Cleared up pretty nicely as the day wore on.
Sunday morning I woke to heavy rain on the tin roof twice (just after midnight and again around 3.30 am). Both were short spells though.
Packed up the car and headed to Halley's Comet chair around 9.45 am. Light showers.
By 10 it was raining and still raining when we left for home at around 11.45 am.
It was around 5 degrees so it wasn't going to change to snow that's for sure.
Your kids competed? How was it? Course looked really tight.
Stay on topic.
I observed the snow quality was good, although sticky on the way back to FV.
Not sure if it was the weather conditions or the tightness of the course, but a number of adults pulled out after practice (guys and girls). Those who skied/boarded it enjoyed a very tight course but the temp and moisture was conducent to the snow responding well to the salt, and the course (snow quality) held up well.
Great fun and props to Ali and race dept for a good job (again)
As close to on topic as I could make it
