It's kinda like putting a themometer under the door of your freezer and then opening it up... All flow apparent.

Very light frost on the grass near my house this morning. I've been living in Caringbah for over 20 years (14 in current spot) and never seen that before. I was excited anyway, nearly missed the train.

The thermometer outside my front door wasn't impressed though, seen it reading lower than this (just).

Things are getting a little breezy at Mt Buller today but was calm yesterday. The snow has been excellent. The sun is out at the moment through patches of blue but there is quite a variety of clouds swirling threateningly in the War of the Worlds sky

Nice morning at Perisher. Still a few untouched stashes inbounds. As mentioned wind picked up around midday and clouds rolled in.

Temps up and down at Island Bend. Rain, sago and now back to rain. The usual gusts for this area have recommenced tonight after a couple of perfect nights (and days on the hill).

Rather breezy in the Upper Yarra, I'm glad the ground is still quite dry otherwise we'd be observing a few trees being uprooted

    I'm surprised by this.
Thought there was not much moisture available this system so with my punter knowledge think it's a positive.
Edit.... Its not real cold tho so may be reflecting the fact the colder air is drier.

There's plenty of precipitation here at Island Bend (with a large dash of wind) but unfortunately it is of the transparent rather than translucent variety.

Wind was hammering in Melb till midnight then seemed to ease somewhat.:emoji_hear_no_evil:
Not surprized to hear about unstable crane that is threatening to fall in Lennox St Richmond necessitating evacuations overnight.

Also mentions of power blackouts over subs.:(

No banging and crashing outside this morning in Gleniris .....things have been calmer for last six hours approx....

Yeah winds howling up the hill all night.
Couple good gusts could hear them coming up the valley had the old place creaking.
Trending winds abating tho from the BOM.
Sounds like it still solid tho.
Be the wide skis in the trees down low sort of day..

I observe a bit of an upgrade this morning.
Likely due to the pos of the high pltted a bit further East than modelled.
If it stalls we may get additional precip , will be favourable if the zonal winds keep the temps low enough.
