Looking good for 20-30cm overnight. Best chance to experience powder for the rest of 2016 IMO, come Tomorrow arvo or Wednesday morning. Cloudy but no rain in Matlock ATM.
Early showers have cleared, next batch due early afternoon.Coolish, bleak and mildly wet in Melbourne this morning
Coming down solidly:
Wind has picked up considerable alsoMelbourne skies are looking particularly dark with some heavy cloud coming across the bay at the moment
Im sick of it.Am loving this cyclical weather we're having...cold fronts delivering 10-20mm, follow up troughs/fronts with pulses of showers and colder temps, then warming up, before we do it all again.
Only thing I'd change would be the nasty NW winds before the fronts.
Roof is rumbling here in Brighton, and radar shows we're about to get another dose
Im sick of it.
This is meant to hit in August.
Im ready for the warm sun and long arvos now.
Not wind and rain and cold.
Weather this time of the year should be warm sunny days followed by arvo storms
There's a distinct chill to the air reminiscent of winter this arvo.Showers getting heavier in Melbourne. Back to winter.
its all happening now. see you out there wed thursAny on the ground obs from NSW resorts or BC? Temp has jumped a little at Perisher AWS but still heaps of precip, so wondering how low the snow line is.
Lake George looking quite full too...

Terrific. But another load of rain to come tomorrow. Unfortunately it's a day early.
I'm exactly the same. If we pick up another 15-20mm in Melbourne, it'll have been quite a wet week. Up in the Yarra Valley they've had over 60mm this week, so it'd be good for our storages to bank some more water before summer.Terrific.
I dont mid the rain. I just hate the wind
Windy?Terrific.

MTB trails have been closed at Lysterfield, I expect other parks to follow suit. Normally this would be OK, but last week there were idiots riding during the high winds, and when trees came down they continued to ride and completely destroyed the trails by riding around fallen trees and mud, creating sub tracks and just a mess everywhere. So because of these idiots, no one can go anywhere.
