Note to mods: I can't add a prefix for observations. Moderator only? Anyway, howling gale blowing here at Lake Crackenback, 1100m ASL near Bullocks Flat and Thredbo. Vast majority of Thredbo lifts on wind hold today.
Clouds building over the main range (NSW) after Lake Crackenback was earlier whipped into a frenzy by the gale
I observe I don't see any trout for dinner. (Yes it's a weather related obs as you only consistently catch them with a rising barometer just after a cold front has passed!)
Howling winds ripping up the Moonbah Valley. We’ve not had a decent wind storm for a bit. Will be cool if the forecasted snow arrives with the winds. Drifts will build on the leeward slopes, more wind packed surface and the current off piste cover will change quickly.... here’s hoping!
Front passed through about an hour ago in strezleckis. Heaps of wind/rain and hail accompanying it! Temp went from 10c down to 5.8c in about 20min
Just back from pooch walk. Dusting and very drippy from trees. Great to have some white back - been a long time
Mind you. I'm not sure that one is 100% I woke to a two degree frost sat. It was measuring plus four My thermometer said -3.9
The coords put it down stream of the dam, in the valley below The Station @950m; HERE. Vantage Pro2, but in a bit of a weird spot.
I know eh. Totally different up here, wind and moisture seems to come across the north end of the lake unaffected by Jindy micro climate.
