Some convergence over vic is helping.
The back end is now feeding as it collapses.
It's a unique system.
As a weakening front hits the Alps, it feeds off the recirculate moisture so the heaviest dump is at the leading edge of the decay.
Compressing moisture feeds the dump. 15cm to 25cm, depending on height.
It pretty much saved the day imo.
Good chance of some overnight snow in Jindy making roads in and out pretty dodgy. More than cold enough and a somewhat southerly flow, eliminating the rain shadow to the west
The snow cam.s for LM look really good.Worst case scenario is to drive to Mt.Margaret Gap and ski up to Keppel's hut and back. The foot track to the LM ski trails is clear and so is the Upper Taggerty track to Snowy Hill Car Park.
yes I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine. This at 6 is more filled in than at 5.30, so still a bit even though the radar has calmed down.
I hope LM do not close the road. The LM management seem to panic when it actually snows up there !.I doubt they will have groomed it so take BC XC PB skis, classic skinny skis are not that good in fresh unconsolidated ungroomed snow.Take some glide wax. You might find the patterns will ball up with the fresh snow.Take some photos for us LM skiers too please.
Yup. 800m snow level
