I like this pic from Mt Donna Buang snow pics fb page early this arvo.
Eyes locked onto that Snow Stake and it's on a tear, right now.
3-4cm/hr which is inline with EC.
I reckon it's only got another hr or so to go though.
Rain building in Jindy and 5c, looking good above 1300m
black ice when it cools down.
Pouring lakeside in Jtown
All calm now in The Ovens Valley. No more rain or wind. That looks like 30 cm on the table o meter at Falls Creek!
It was really bucketing down here for a few hours. Dry fluffy stuff too, so it will settle down a bit I imagine.
It was coming down brilliantly, beautiful sight.
Any cheeky lift openings tomorrow?
i'm interested what the cold pool currently passing tassie will produce
Looks all for LM/BB and maybe Buller, Tassie producing a rain shadow for further east.
Models have it hooking
Raking right over the range as a SWly as far as I can tell?
1hr on, and there goes 15... not the depth, but the number.
Yeah.. It's dynamic.
It's legit pouring in Jindy
And in Jindy North Shore, should be some depth on them there hills.
Horsey got a wooly rain coat yet?
I'm at 4 degrees.
I'd punt and say the snowline is 1100
I would go 1220 ... only a few degrees off snow here at 1170
All whiskers and shag
Summer storm rain rates
Send that cloud 6km north
Barely hear the tv
We've been told yes. In bad news for normal punters squads are on all day instead of half day now though so queues likely to be same as today or worse despite the additional uplift...
Sleety snowy snot on the Jindy North Shore at 1170m
Temp is currently -1.3c at the High Perch ,18.6mm in the jar ,wind is a gentle 6kmh from the west. Conditions are good for what we want. Looks like about 15cm on the Perisher stick so far ,maybe another 10 overnight is a good result.
Any snow on the high perch?
Be going a Heavy 1200 Denier 300gram Lined Waterproof Turnout tonight myself.
Easy 15 by the looks of it.
Staying consistent although slowing on depth, evidently:
Well at this point any snow is good snow and very welcome! 15-20cm in NSW and 25-30cm in VIC so far will certainly help get things going
I am with @Donzah watching the inbound over Tasmania, Light rain and high cloud. But it is developing as it comes along. lets see.. looking at 25cm so far then , that's the result, any more is cream
Needs a clean...
Having a baby this weekend. Car might get a clean in 2023.
Need nice big dump
Snowing in Jindabyne at lakeside. Ski tube sales now suspended all weekend.
Wet snow all the way from Berridale to Jindy. Should be nice on the hill.
Near lake level Jindabyne.
No not tonight but we do get some when the bigger storms come through. We are only at 954 masl albeit tucked up in the shadows of the Westfall around the Tooma/Maragle Mountain area. There was some more "solid" rain a while ago that stuck to the windows briefly but to call it snow would be a stretch.
Seems to have stopped snowing in Vic now, and CBR Radar is showing the back edge of the moisture band approaching NSW Alps. Hoping the extra height of the Snowys will squeeze a bit more juice out though.
An on-par ~15 cent wrap tonight for Peri.
Still snowing lightly at Moonbah 1100 ASL. Not a lot, we missed the rain a Jindy picked up and it’s melting pretty quick. Lawn is holding a bit more and is white though. Pic out the back. Dogs inside.
Cold drizzle 600m tallarook ranges but nothing freezing yet
Frozen dusting around Jindi will be treacherous on the roads this morning
Yup. Chains from penderlea and waste point
A white morning on the Jindy North shore
Happy Valley looking much happier this morning
15-20cm at Buller Village this morning:
Really nice and dry stuff.
Was lightly snowing a little a moment ago.
So still this morning
