Snowing on Buller currently.
7mm since 6pm, should be all said an done in the next hour or two.

Drizzling now and almost rain earlier at thredbo, started about 9pm.
Looks like heavy and persistent precipitation on the Thredbo live cams at the moment. Could well be snow up at the High Noon and Basin cams but its sleet at best lower down.

That's interesting as it hasn't looked very supportive for snow below ~2200m this afternoon/this evening.

6deg C at Selwyn. A few drops of liquid sunshine up until 2pm when it looked to have settled in. Which is when I bailed. Anyway will post North Kozi obs from Fri onwards once the real action starts.
Word from Buller is its r..ning lightly. Temps too warm.

That’s why it’s interesting to hear Thredbo Karels was seeing snow. Very marginal nonetheless.
Not that surprised. It's still showing between 13 and 14 degrees down at the entry gates.

Fairly steady drizzle in Thredbo Village over the past hour. Still feels warm.
It was a wintry mix at best at the very top of Central Spur at 3pm this afternoon. I certainly would not have described it as 'snow'.
Brief sleet shower in Dinner Plain. Now clear skies.
Nice showers on the drive from Cooma to adaminaby, bit of lightning over towards the west quite spectacular.
