Bom have bumped up moisture for Monday, goody!
South Perisher cam, Radar is patchy at best, the accumulator continues .. Seems to be going around 1cm an hour, another 10 overnight , then the show tomorrow arvo?
25th still looking like the best totals in this date range with NSW resorts to do well and get some much needed repair work after Friday's damage (Looks to be predominantly coming from the W/NW direction).
Yeah a lot of damage needs repairing up here
As Britney Spears would say... Oh baby, baby!
Tuesday could be pretty nice IMO. Progged max temp is nice and cold.
sneaky ski day with no kids planned for tuesday ,looking good.
Lots of damage to my board after today at Perisher as well.
Latest updates are great!!
Probably looking at 60cm for NSW by midday Wednesday.
This whole season has been damage central.
Wind scarring from Saturday didnt help much either. 1st run down Kamo was decent , 2nd run was basically ice with a bit of sugar on top. Noticed lots of scarring on my way round today.
What about tonight @Claude Cat how much do you think we will see fall?
Perisher / Thredbo should see 20-30cm, Falls / Hotham, perhaps 20cm, Buller 15-20cm?
Be nice, a front for the next 3 nights. 30 + 30 + 30
You were spot on CC - Perisher got 25 overnight
It must be very dry? only 16.6 in the gauge since 9.00am yesterday.
Guessing just too cold and fluffy for the AWS.
That's what I was thinking....Hoping, It happens a lot when very cold.
Actually that should read "25 in 24 hours"
Yeah we measured an honest 30 at Guthega this morning.
Stay on topic - predictions in this thread!
Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds for people in the Wimmera, North Central, North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts
Issued at 11:10 am EST on Monday 25 July 2016.
A strong cold front over the Bight will rapidly cross the State during the afternoon and evening.
DAMAGING WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of 100 km/h are forecast to develop on Monday afternoon across the Wimmera, South West, Central and North Central forecast districts and contract eastwards across parts of the North East, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts into the evening. Wind gusts around 110 km/h are possible about Alpine areas tonight.
I think tonight could be the highlight of this event.
Yep, the incoming front is a thing of beauty and there is a pile of speckled lining up behind it so this should mean a sustained period of continuous falls.
It also has the NW Slider happening with the initial front.
Hindsight's a wonderful thing, but I was pretty happy with how this played out 5-7 days in advance (I put this together last Monday) - certainly more rain than anyone anticipated or hoped for...
How much are you thinking for tonight @Claude Cat ?
I'm thinking pretty similar numbers to last night actually.
I'm thinking slightly higher than last night, perhaps 30-35cm Perisher & Thredbo, Falls and Hotham 20-25cm and Buller 20cm
