    It's happening to me too.

I just love these bugs that appear after you've checked your code was working the night before.

    AJ,
You've got me intrigued as to how much I can slip into that tiny little comments box - don't worry, if I break it I bought it... anything I post onto the site receives a nice few hours of testing first - its either that or finish my uni essays.. stay tuned for more!

    :nerd:

EDIT: Can't seem to get in either - it seems as if you are using a timestamp to validate the login, but it isn't being passed to the $_GET variable... hope this helps? [IMG] Good luck with it!

    Thanks SH.

Somehow I think you'd find a way to fix it if you screwed up anyway.

Will look into the bug when I get home.

Get a message across the top saying this.

    Tips_query=SELECT * FROM `tips` WHERE `tip_tipster_id` = 40 ORDER BY `tip_date`

Im assuming the first day of comp is Saturday the 10th of June?

Yeah, deadline for opening day will be three days earlier. I'll probably clear out all the testing junk the previous weekend.

Until then, get those pretend forecasts in, the pretend snow is falling. [IMG]

Can someone try to add a new forecast for 13/6/06 or earlier. Anything after 13/6/06 I know is broken.

I can modify any forecast that day or earlier but have no empty slots to try adding a new one. Please let me know.

I've reinstated the old forecasting page until I can work out the bugs in the new code.

Last three forecasts still don't work but otherwise I think it's working OK. Can someone please login and try submitting some new forecasts, updates and pic/comments changes.

In breaking news, my web provider is currently migrating me to a nice new server with some more up to date tools.

The site is currently being moved over now for me to do some testing before a DNS change is made, probably tomorrow. At some stage over the next 1 to 3 days you will switch from seeing the comp from the old to the new server.

This is because of the way the internet works. Address changes aren't instant but have to make their way progressively through all the name servers out there.

How this effects when you will see my old or new server is hard to predict and depends on how your particular ISP is set up. Some will get the new server quite quickly but some may still be getting the old server 24 hours later.

I'll let you know when the DNS change is initiated and provide details on how to check which server you're seeing when I've got the details.

<B>What does this mean to the comp?</>

The comp's current state is being copied to the new server right now. This means that any changes to forecasts or your page from now until you're getting to the new server will be lost when I make the change.

Will keep you informed of progress.

Still waiting for a successful site transfer. Should happen in the next day or so, after which the DNS lag will follow.

Still waiting on the site transfer so I've been in development/id creation limbo. Now advise this should be done by the end of the week.

DNS lag will follow and once I'm happy everything works I'll probably move straight into cleaning out the guff and setting up for formal comp start.

More info when I have it.

The site move has been delayed. There's something wrong with PHP on the new server so I'll be staying put until at least the end of the month. This means ther will be an outage some time during the comp, proabably after midnight, but hopefully it will have limted impact.

I'll get those id request done and set the comp up for real tipping at some point this weekend.

Dealine for next Saturday's forecasts, the first day of the season :woohoo: , will be midnight Wednesday.

In general, how many days/hours before do we need to have the forecast in for a given date?
