That's a different sort of can.
That's the thing - on the weekend people genuinely did think that PV were stocking the firewood in the hut.
I'm a bit lost too - not sure where fanatics (fanatic of what - pyromania, or perhaps lighting intestinal gas?)/ Wurrumbungles fires / huts and poo management all really link.
I thought the Bogong area of the Alpine National Park was a "no outside fire" zone, and presumably the alpine area of the KNP is too (due to lack of wood primarily!). Maybe everyone going into alpine areas needs to take 10 lomotil or imodium/gastrostop before entering the area - that would resolve the poo issue at minimal cost!
Anyway, it's lovely weather out there; the spring snow is melting; the corn is perfect; and we probs all get off our arses (and computers) and get out there and enjoy it.
We have always applauded your work, I'd hate to think you feel under attack on that front.
I don't quite get the other links but whatever.
See you in the hills one day.

okay lost count of how many deleted posts... warnings and bans have been issued..
Actually, Human poo has been here for 40,000 years....
Yep, in the alpine almost always around Bogong moth time.
Post 1778, the incidence of indigenous poo declines and non-indigenous poo occurs. Later the incidence of indigenous poo exceeds pre 1778 incidence. Modern recreationalists wish to visit the alpine throughout the year, not just at Bogong moth time.
What made indigenous poo increase to levels higher than pre 1778 ?
There were a lot less indigenous visitors to the amount area than there are whities now.
If anything, anti diarrhoea pills aren't needed, the change of activity and conditions sees me at times making less #2 trips than back at home because of dried foods, less fruits etc. if anything I should stow prunes in my backpack as things do get sluggish inside.
Indidenous poo declined because indigenous of however many legs were displaced by all the poms, euros etc, and their critters. Much more activity occurred in the alpine because the immigrants saw opportunities the indigenous two leggeds didn't.
Therefore, poo increased.
And the number of legs, and oddly enough feet, which dug into the dirt.
Is that @miss_b_haven?
NEVER, she'd fill the cone with gold nuggets!
Which is, of course, somewhat tougher than ice-cream on your teeth.
But it’s also the best way to ensure someone else carries my poop out of the back-country, so I wouldn’t have to.
(Hey, you have no idea how hard that is when you don’t have opposable hooves!)
Oh, and pardon me for taking so long to respond - I had a big load of err, cargo to deliver.
Yes, in Pretty Valley (well where else would a li’l unicorn-llama go?!).
So I hope you think I left that hut in reasonable condition for y’all . . .
Came across a wild turd at 2200m at a location we refer to as the Notch. Its on the highest summit visible from queenstown. Lovely!
Did you do a "taste" test to identify the species and sex?
The female of the species is rare at such altitudes. However the poo tickets blowing in the breeze suggest far too much organisation for the male.
Could have been an All Black shitting their pants
Perhaps a mutation of a species, did you notice unusually big footmarks around the deposit?
Is this some sort of reference to ball sports?? I dont partake in such shenanigans good sir. Im what you would call a Self loather.
I will probably be eating humble pie next week, kind gentle person!
How'd that pie taste TW
This is just everybody talking shit.
If you don't shit you die.
No, it's about if you have saved the world and will still have any meaningful friends after you have poo'd
WTF, do people poo?
Access to Diamintina Horse Yards Long Drop is problematic as Team Bears have been advised a huge tree has fallen just after Diamintina River Bridge preventing management vehicles from getting up to management gate prior to both Blairs and Horse Yards...only long drop in that part of the world..DSE will sh.. themselves with this one...they tell me it needs lots of muscle probably a D6...minimum..
