On again, $749 with a $99 deposit. Sign up by 15th October, full amount due April 30th.

Season pass refund protection has increased to $40 pp this year. Most you can get back for injury prior to ski season is $524, which is a loss of $265. Its a pretty lousy insurance policy thats for sure.

They've changed the discount day passes you get for 2016 too. Instead of 5 single day passes discounted at 20%, next year you get 2 day passes at 50% off and 2 ski rentals at 50% off.

    Seems fair?

While I'm having a rant, the on mountain associated benefits of the Hero pass seems to have diminished over the years but I guess the price has remained the same so.....
Now I just ask everywhere if I get a discount with my pass. I still get a discount at the Hotham supermarket and occasionally get a discounted jug of beer.

It used to be good to get a discount at Stingray. I only used two of my discounted vouchers for friends this year. We have four between us so that is pretty good.

I dont know how to use the vouchers online. I could have given you one of ours as I don't think they will get used this season now.

I got a Hero Pass discount on a ski tune at Hotham Central. About 10%.

15% off most stuff at lift co shops - FC Sports, Board Lounge, Apres Vous.

That was useful when I bought Dragon goggles this year- saved over $35

I've never used any of the vouchers

Thanx Sadie but I did it anyway
I guess I'll be up there all season again in 2016, I also guess I'll be keeping better hidden; even if it means camouflage nets

From memory the vouchers are only for peak season prices, not shoulder season. Only ever used the lift vouchers once or twice in the past 3 years as it worked out about the same price if buying multi day passes or bundling.

Over the past few years I've used my pass heaps for discounted hot dogs, coffees, clothing, groceries, ski waxes and tunes , discount lessons, oh and jugs of beer at The Snowbird. $15 jugs of Coopers.... Wish I was there now.:(

I just take out annual travel insurance - covers the cost of the pass if you're injured pre-season. Have had to claim on it twice. Absolute PIA but they reimbursed the season pass (upon return of the pass, umpteen doctors certificates etc)
