I'll think of the extra $50 as pass protection insurance, only useful as it covered me against change of mind.

The T and Cs are borderline legal anyways...

If you cancel your credit card and don't want to pay for whatever reason.. then they can't do anything

    :)

I doubt they would bother chasing you for such a small amount. But I would expect their T&C would have been past their legal team.

Should I have got some sort of email on May 1 when they were supposed to charge the card, or do they just charge, or are they running late this year?

Mine was charged. Got an email a couple of weeks before telling me to check my card details. Nothing once charged.

Spoke with Hotham today. They are expecting the lease matter to be out of the way by the end of May. I asked if that would give people only 10 days or so to convert Hero's to EPIC's before the season starts and they said no, they would allow people a "reasonable window of a few weeks". They also confirmed there would be an additional $60 gap payment in converting from a Hero to an EPIC.

Can anyone see on the Perisher site anywhere where you can see your "account" which would show info about deposits, payments, receipts, Perisher Money or any other info relevant to monies paid to Perisher.
Seems to be a great big black hole :(

    Yea agreed.
Be very usefull to have a transaction history or similar page that shows exctly where you stand with active passes etc.
very awkward to have to sign I nagain to the dashboard , I know first world problem but I have always found it challenging to navigate the site a times.
    needs a big refresh IMO.

Ring them? I’ve never taken much notice, but the full payment has now been taken. Can’t be long until it becomes just a Perisher season pass. If you’re after the Epic benefits I’d be locking it in.

Do we get issued with a new card for this year's season pass, or does last years continue to work if you paid using the same account?

You use your old card. You are entitled to one free replacement card each year.

If you have no prospect of using it in Aus this season, but might use it next season, you could look at the US Epic Pass. That gives access to the Northern Hemisphere resorts in 2019/20, and Australia in 2020 - but the price difference is quite stark at around $1,365 AUD compared to the $909 for the Epic Aus pass.

If you don't need Australia access at all then there is the Epic Local Pass. This is still around $1,015 AUD, but has a longer purchase window.

Of course, if you are going to Perisher, Hotham or Falls this season and you haven't bought lift passes for there yet, then you might as well grab the Epic Aus pass.
