In the event we need to manage capacity during the 2021 and 2021-22 seasons to allow for physical distancing, Vail Resorts may be managing access to our mountains through a reservation system that prioritizes our pass holders. As events with COVID-19 unfold, we will adapt our approach as necessary to help keep you safe

Done, Personally I think Vail handled things really well and went above and beyond by refunding the deposit etc from this seasons pass. I am happy to take a punt again and hope that 2021 is a slightly more "normal" season.

I'm a bit funny about it but they've included Epic Coverage and I'm sure that if things are still on the blink come winter 2021 I'd be able to get a refund if necessary. It was a balls up this year, but so was everything.

what's to stop a EPA holder using it in Aus in Winter 21
then asking for a rebate for the unused NH portion for 21/22...
book & cancel some accommodation to show you were going to be in the US for say 10 nights...
can't travel due to Aus gov't directive.
hard for them to argue is it not ?

Question is; could anyone be arsed stuffing around with that for what? Maybe a couple hundred refund if you already got your moneys worth in the Oz season.
If this country is still in lockdown by 2022 we have bigger issues on our hands than an Epic refund.

    I'm moreso thinking 2021
I used my epic pass OS in January.
Intended to use it next year as well.
    Obviously I can't be arsed.
However for a family heading to Breckenridge eg for a month. That's a big reason to purchase.

I haven’t got a clue mate, I was just commenting on the fact I don’t think people would go through the trouble of booking/cancelling flights and accommodation for 2022 just to get a small refund.
If anyone has an epic for this Oz season and can’t use it OS in 2021 I spose you can get a refund on outstanding/missed savings. I.e if I have already skied five or more days here I spose nothing.

Interesting. According to Ts&Cs the choices you are supposed to get are:
    1. Primary resort vs All Resorts
    2. Specific Week or Core Season

Seems you will get defaulted to All Resorts and Core Season if you don't pick. You can change it manually up to start of June 21.

I'm not really understanding why you'd pick All Resorts, but maybe it'll be clearer on my millionth reading of the Ts and Cs.

What is the reason for the choices above? I presume it doesn't it change what you actually have access to? Or is it about what sort of refund you're allowed if the rona continues into 2021?

    not just rona.

if you ski one week a year, you can cover that week.

if you ski a few times through the season, you can cover the core season. if you only choose a week and that's good but the rest of the season is stuffed, you'd get nothing

if you only ski at one resort, then cover that. if you like the flexibility of skiing more, then spread the cover

for me core season for Falls is the cover I need. If I was a once a year skier I'd choose a single week.

I've used my pass twice at Hakuba - great
next time I go to japan will probably be Shiga Kogen and Nozawa
no benefit there, but not a disincentive
I'll always try to get money's worth here

I thought there was a more expensive Aussie pass that gave access to Euro resorts?

Seems only the US Epic pass gives that now? Or has that always been the case?

Yeah that's the problem. We may only use the tube a few times a year which makes the cost per trip even greater (considering we probably have the parks pass anyway).
